Title: Innovation Director
Company: Vinci Energies
Session title: From a traditional WBS to a collaboration platform
For teams used to planning and managing projects with a typical WBS (work breakdown structure) approach, adapting to Agile can be daunting. It’s more than just changing a tool—it means rethinking the way you plan and manage your projects.
Targetprocess was implemented by several Business Units at Vinci Energies to give more transparency to projects using traditional PM approaches, and to provide an opportunity for teams to improve their efficiency and customer satisfaction while managing projects. Jorge will share the story of this transformation.
Jorge Rivero, born in Spain 1970, started his career in the automotive and food Industry at different international positions in the electrical and automation areas.
In 2007, he joined the Industrial Division of Vinci Energies in Germany (Actemium), changing his perspective from end customer (proposes the challenge) to system integrator (delivers the solution). In Actemium, he extended his experience to Chemical and Life Science industries, and further developed his passion for People and Project Management.
With a degree in informatics from the University of Valladolid, and with his extensive experience in the electrical and automation fields, his additional involvement in IoT and I4.0 was natural. From his actual position as Innovation Director at Vinci Energies Germany, he is fully committed to further tear down the walls between both engineering domains, taking advantage of Vinci Energies’ solid positioning in both fields.
