What tools and systems are supported for synchronization?
Please see the full list below. The most popular ones are Jira, TFS and HPQC.
Is it one-way or two-way sync?
Both types are supported - you can choose from the following three options:
- Targetprocess >> other tool
- Targetprocess << other tool
- Targetprocess <<>> other tool
Can I sync with more than one external tool / system?
Yes, it's possible to sync with a mix tools / systems ( e.g. Targetprocess User Stories received from Jira + Targetprocess Bugs received from HP QC )
What Targetprocess entity types are supported?
- User Story
- Task
- Bug
- Feature
- Epic
- Request
- Test Plan
- Test Plan Run
Are there any limitations when mixing different entity types to be linked across systems?
No. As soon as fields mapping is viable (i.e. only sync Name+Status to Name+Status) you're welcome to do anything, such as something like Targetprocess Bugs <<>> Jira Epics.
What fields are supported?
See Appendix A below.
Can I synchronize attached files?
Yes.
Can I synchronize comments?
Yes.
Are Targetprocess Custom Fields supported for sync?
Yes, the following types are supported:
- Text
- Number
- Checkbox
- Dropdown
- Multiselect
- URL
- Date
- Template URL
How do I define what items to synchronize?
Sync scope is defined by a combination of three properties: Entity Type, Project(s) and Filter, e.g.:
- User Stories from Projects A, B and С that have "Urgent" Business Value
- Bugs from all Projects assigned to "Integrations" Component (DropDown Custom Field in Targetprocess )
Will items in Targetprocess be deleted if they are deleted in the extenal tool(or vice versa)?
No, items will be left untouched. Same applies to already synchronized attachments. However it's possible to set up a conflict resolution policy so that items will be recreated again if they are not deleted in both systems.
Can I sync work item progress from the external tool into Targetprocess?
Yes, basic synchronization is support as there's support for Effort, EffortToDo and EffortCompleted fields of Targetprocess assignable entities.
What are the licensing models?
All Targetprocess users must be covered by Integration Hub license regardless of users count in external tool.
Additional licensing details will be added later.
What's the hosting model?
Tasktop Integration Huv can be hosted on a dedicated server in the cloud or on our own Customer server (Microsoft Windows and Red Hat OS supported, Docker support is coming soon)
What's the pricing?
Please send request to tp-sales@apptio.com
