Solution Overview

The solution enables views to support Pre-Plan and Coordinate and Deliver activities during a Solution Train PI Planning Event. The are the following solutions are released to support this flow:

• Solution Planning Interval Enablement v.1.0
• Generate Solution PIs / ART PIs / TIs based on Periods v.1.1
• Solution Train PI Planning Event v.1.0

Solution Planning Interval Enablement

The solution enables Solution Planning Intervals, which is a group of ART Planning Intervals. 

Generate Solution PIs / ART PIs / TIs based on Periods

The solution enables you to create synchronized Solution Planning Intervals for all Solution Trains, Releases (Planning Intervals) for all ARTs or/and Team Iterations for all Teams in one click. It's handy when you have a lot of Solution Trains/ARTs/Teams who have the same schedule of Planning Intervals or/and Team Iterations. Solution Planning Intervals, Planning Intervals or/and Team Iterations will be generated based on Custom Periods you have in the system, i.e. they'll have the same Planned Start/End Dates.

The solution enables a set of views to support Solution Train PI Planning Event.

Solution Configuration

After solution installation you need to update Detailed View for Epics, Features, User Stories and Bugs to add configurable dropdown fields (Release and Solution Planning Interval) instead of native ones. To do that:

• Open Settings -> Detailed Views
• Select Epic, Feature, User Story and Bug individually
• Find Release field (click anywhere in the code, press Ctrl+F and type Release in the search field)
• Delete default Release field
• Click on Custom UI Controls button and in the Configuration field choose Planning Interval
• Click Copy & close button, then insert the copied code in place of the deleted Release field (add a comma at the end)
• Once again, click on Custom UI Controls button and in the Configuration field choose Solution Planning Interval
• Click Copy & close button, then insert the copied code after the Planning Interval (add a comma at the end).
• Click Apply changes button
