The 2019 Global SAFe Summit in San Diego was full of excitement. From the Targetprocess booth all the way to the block party in the Gas Lamp, it was the place to be if you are trying to scale Agile.
We had great conversations with customers, partners, and future customers. Learning about everyone’s journey and helping them realize their potential with better solutions was a big highlight. We gained a lot of new fans in a very short amount of time.
What everyone talked about at this year's Global SAFe Summit

Scaling Agile in the financial sector: talk delivered by Targetprocess CEO
Our CEO, Andrey Mihailenko, was talking about the challenges of financial enterprises implementing SAFe in his, "Overcoming the 7 obstacles of agile transformation in the financial sector".
The presentation was based on the recent case of Agile transformation at Belfius Bank. You can read the full case study here: Scaling Agile at Belfius Bank.
Targetprocess: a disrupter in the market where everyone's on the lookout for tools
What were the biggest highlights or eye openers for you?
Answer from Nick Horstman, Director of Business Development:
The biggest highlight for me was the reaction of the people that stopped by the booth. They were very impressed with the capability of our solution and most of them had never heard of us before. They see us as a disrupter in the market and an alternative to some of the tools that aren’t purpose built agile tools.
Another eye opener was the fact tools were such a big part of this year's Summit. There has been a definite shift. Many of the people walking around were looking for new tools to enhance what they were doing, instead of looking to improve their process.
What did Targetprocess showcase at the biggest SAFe event?
We took quite a number of freshly released and soon-to-be-released solutions to San Diego and managed to impress our booth visitors:
- Strategic Planning (with the new Strategic Themes and Miro. Btw don't miss this Miro integration!)
- Lean Budgeting
- Leading Indicators (usually paired with OKRs or Strategic Planning)
- PI Planning Event Support (PI Objectives and Sprint Goals)
- Portfolio, Solution, PI Roadmaps
- Retrospective Solution
- Release Management and DevOps Solutions
- Risks Management
Good thing is, if you haven't met us at the SAFe Summit, you can see the new solutions, just request a demo and we'll get back to you.
